Should use a separate soap for face wash? Can we use regular bath soap for face wash?

never use the same soap you use for your body for your face many people think that it wont effect you but it will soap contains chemicals that can make you break out, or cause irritation and can cause even ';burn marks'; when you go out to the sun... use an all natural 100% pure honey soap bar dont buy the ones at the pharmacy buy them at a fair or at a farmers market it leaves your skin soft, not oily and since its completley natural it has no harsh or unappealing side effectsShould use a separate soap for face wash? Can we use regular bath soap for face wash?
Its always better to use different soap/face wash for your face as your facial skin is much more sensitive than other parts of your body.Especially the skin under the eyes.So it really needs a milder product. And again face gets exposed to sun alot than other parts.

Depending on your skin type whether its oily/normal/dry choose your face wash.

Always go with a natural/ayurvedic product.

You can even make your own face wash at home.

For dry skin you can use moong daal powder(put the daal in blender/mixy and get the powder)

And for oily skin you can use gram/besan flour(you will get it in provisional store).

Mix the powder with water/milk/curd and apply on your face and wash it.Should use a separate soap for face wash? Can we use regular bath soap for face wash?
use aloe vera face wash from oriflame...

What's your favorite soap and body wash? How long are you in the shower?

I'll start.

Ivory bar soap and a body wash and i usually buy ones I think smell good no matter what the brand is even store brands.

the ones i have now are:

Caress Berry Indulgence

Caress Daily Silk

Suave (some coconut scented one)What's your favorite soap and body wash? How long are you in the shower?
The one place I absolutely splurge and spoil myself is with bath stuff. And I have a lot of it that I use on different days depending on my mood. =) I use Pureology shampoo and conditioner, volumizing (which smells like heaven) or clarifying shampoo followed by reconstructive conditioner, or Bath and Body Works shampoo and conditioner, pink grapefruit or coconut lime verbena. Glytone facial clenser, which everyone with acne problems should use, I have naturally horrible skin, but I am crystal clear! Like 10 different bath and body works glycerine soaps. I stock up on them in June and January during their sale. Those soaps are only $1 a bar then! Bath and Body works shower gel, about 6 different ones (again bought during the sale for about $4 a bottle). My favs are magnolia blossom, white cherry blossom, gardina, coco cabana, coconut lime verbena... I think those are all the ones I have. I love Victoria Secret sugar scrub body by victoria, but it's expensive, so I usually get one bottle for Christmas, and don't buy it unless it's on sale. I like St. Ives exfoliater.

Then, on my face- Jan Marini daily antioxidant moisturizer spf 30; legs if I shave- Lubriderm spf 15 non scented followed by Neutrogena sesame body oil (just a little), and usually throughout the day I use Bath and Body Works lotion Flowering Herbs on my hands. It's discontinued, but I found it at the sale in January and bought about 6 bottles!!

I think tomorrow it will be Pureology volumizing, freesia glycerine soap, and if i shave... gardina shower gel. =)

I usually spend 10 minutes in the shower unless I'm not in a hurry, then it could be up to 1/2 hour.

This was fun. Pamper yourself, you're worth it!!What's your favorite soap and body wash? How long are you in the shower?
I freaking love the pomegranate mango softsoap. it smells so good even after a 5 min shower. i dont stay in the shower for longer than 15 mins cause i have no time soaking in water.
My favorite shampoo is hydra TLC Sunsilk. It is the ONLY shampoo that really helps my hair on anything. My favorite soap is also the Coconut scented suave one. My favorite face wash is Morning burst shine control from clean n' clear.

I am usually in the shower 15 minutes!
I sometimes use Ivory soap but I also use Tone sugar glow. Its awesome. lol
I have the same bodywash (Suave Tropical Coconut). It smells divine. I like their Sweet Pea and Violet one, too--smells like Bath %26amp; Body Works but much cheaper. But my favorite body wash is a discontinued Tone one--Tropical something-or-other. Smelled like the Suave Tropical Coconut, but much better, and more moisturizing.

My fav. bar soaps are Yardley English Lavender, Yardley English Rose, and Ivory with Aloe.

Showers range from 12-45 minutes, depending on whether I wash my hair, shave my legs, etc.
I use some Irish Spring soap cause it smells nice. I'm usually in the shower for about 20-30 mins. I'm trying to cut down on my shower time... but I just can't seem to spend less time in the shower.

What part of the vagina should u not wash with soap?

when people say not to wash the inside of your vagina..i often get confused. does that mean you shouldnt wash the inside of your lips? What part of the vagina should u not wash with soap?
Yeah.. just rinse the inside of the lips really well.

I wouldn't use soap. What part of the vagina should u not wash with soap?
You can wash the outside with soap (like where the hair is) as for inside the lips i would just rinse it with water ... and dont do anything any firther inside your vagina because that could be dangerous. The vagina cleans itself out naturally (thats why you get discharge)
Truthfull any part of it.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/…

Your vagina is IN you not out of you. You can wash everything else except your vagina because that is considered douching.
It's safe to wash anything you can easily rinse off, including the inside of the lips. However, do not wash inside the vagina (canal) itself because you will upset the natural balance and get a yeast infection.
labia flaps are sensitive to harsh detergent cleansers , i think.

  • Is it okay to use a face wash and soap together ?

i have neutrogena acne prone facial soap bar %26amp; clearasil ultra daily face wash. will my skin be left with no oil %26amp; start to overproduce if i do these together ? if so, which should i use ?Is it okay to use a face wash and soap together ?
OMGOODNESS!!! Your skin on your face will disolve...what r u thinking????? They form a chemical acid and will burn your hands off too!!! PS Dove cloggs your pours from the cheap moisturizer in it, but it had a pleasant perfume. Is it okay to use a face wash and soap together ?
i think the combination is a little too strong for your face. i would suggest you dont use both at the same time, say one in the morning and the other in the evening. Betterstill, use same brand products as this will complement eachother and there is no fear of counter-reaction with the products.
clearasil makes a great product but I'm old and don't have acne anymore...but two harsh things will likely burn your face. I would use one in the am and one in the pm. see how that works. use witch hazel in between. it's cheap and is a great astringent. I've been using it for years and people think my daughter and I are twins, ok...I wish :)
are you prone to have oily face texture? if not, using both at the same time for a prolong period of time can leave your skin texture over dried and looking dead.

if you have a normal skin texture, you can try using OLAY facial form for a daily usage and apply toner and moisturizer after that. This will leave your skin supple and clean.
neutrogena is no good use dove it will help u with u'r oil and perfect 2 go!
Hi Anonymous.I use a face wash and soap together and it has NOT dissolved my skin as someone mentioned to you.lol

I have been doing this for two months and its the clearest two months my face has ever been.I am so confident in my skin now, that I dont wear makeup everytime I go out.And when I do wear makeup I only use eyeliner and lipgloss.

Nutrogena NEVER worked for me.I use Black Opal fade bar and Avon Blackhead Clearing Cleanser together and they work MARVELOUS.Remember that everyone has different skintypes,so what may work for me may not do the same for you.

I think the important thing about using the two products together is not forgetting to TONE and MOISTURIZE after. If you over wash your face it will start to overproduce oil.Just wash twice a day, tone and moisturize and you should be okay.Oh and you should only use a small amount of the wash for each wash.

Hope you find a routine that works for you.Have a great day and Smile :)

Can i use regular soap to wash my puppy or something else?

You can get puppy shampoo at wal-mart for about $3.....if you can't afford to buy the things that dogs NEED, then maybe you shouldn't own one.Can i use regular soap to wash my puppy or something else?
If you have a young puppy go to a pet store and find one that is safe for its age and weight. But if it is very young it isn't a good idea to bathe it. If it has a horrible flea problem and you need to wash it, use dial dishwashing soap, make sure you don't get it in its eyes! and try not to get its head to wet. start at the crown and work back to the tail. get a ring around the collar and that will stop fleas from going to the head. But seriously only bath it with dial if it has fleas, otherwise get a puppy shampoo and only bathe it when it really needs it, because it can catch a chill and get sick. Can i use regular soap to wash my puppy or something else?
use dog shampoo - you can usually find it at your vet's office or a pet store.
No, it's much too harsh for their skin. You need to buy dog shampoo.
I agree with goldwing...... baby shampoo is cheap and very gentle! :) Enjoy your new pup! :)
no they have many allergies use dog shampoo
If can effet the body odor and your puppy might shead. Go to the folling web page it might help www.puppycare.gov I hope this help good luck!
Use baby shampoo..works great, very gentle, and doesn't sting their eyes if it gets in them. Good luck
no more tears baby shampoo .
i would use dog shampoo with conditioner it makes their skin less itchy and less likely to have problems in the future with his her skin.
In a pinch or emergency you can use human shampoo or Dawn dish soap but it is really not something you want to do on a regular basis. Human shampoos are too harsh and have the wrong pH; even baby shampoo is not gentle enough. It strips the coat of natural oils needed for healthy skin.
They make puppy shampoo. go to the pet store and get some OK. All the other soaps and shampoo's are too harsh for your pups tender skin.
yes but it will be drying to the skin and coat. It would be good to use if you are trying to remove grease or oil. Home product wise you should use 1 oz of shampoo mixed with 15 oz of water. If you need to kill fleas use dish soap at the same dilution and let it sit on your dog for @ 5 - 7 minutes.( Then go to the vet and get front line pluse) The best products are made for dogs. I prefer Tropiclean products and Tomlyn Milk Bath products.
DONT WASH YOUR DOG! You can rinse him off, but soaps and shampoos deplete the natural oil in his coat and will make him smell worse in the long run. Unless he is ridiculously dirty from say skunk or dead animal, stay away from washing your dog.
No, you need a pet shampoo. If the pup is under twelve weeks old, a bath is likely not needed.
    just use dog shampoo.
No! You will mess the puppy's coat up1 They have dog shampoo and we have regular shampoo!
I use people shampoo or baby wash on my dogs, but if cant get dog shampoo or baby shampoo then you can also use liquid dish washing soap.
You can, but it is good to get dog soap. At Petco and Pet Mart they have dog soap and you can probably find soap at you're local dog store.

What is the most affordable, all natural hand soap and body wash?

Previously, I was using Method brand..but now I see that has quite a few chemicals as well. Is there a brand that won't break the bank, but is chemical free? What is the most affordable, all natural hand soap and body wash?
I like Dr. Bronners. good soap with lots of crazy philosophy to read on the bottle. What is the most affordable, all natural hand soap and body wash?
The Body Shop (not bath and body works) makes an excellent line of products. The ingredients in their line also has a lot of all natural things in it. Plus it is good for the environment because their plastic bottles are made out of 33% recycled plastic...and they are working on make that a greater number. But anyways I swear by ALL their products. Their hand products are wonderful. and I absolutely love the skin care line. Its been the only thing that really works well for me. You can get them in the mall....or they even have HOME parties now, where the host can get things cheaper. That to me is the way to go. Plus, in the store, they have a card where you earn points. On your birthday you get $10 in free product alone.
Pork fat and lye. Hey, you wanted natural.
    burts bees?

If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?

please leave religion out.If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?
i would pray to God to clean my head, and if it didn't get clean then he must want me to be dirty. If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?
would it matter, you're still wasting soap
    ha ha great doubt!
Shampoo. Though there may not look like there is not any hair, there are hair glands on your head. Regular soap can irritate it, and can cause you discompfort. Go with the shampoo.
    Soap, it's just skin.
My boyfriend is bald and he uses regular bar soap.
I'd use the same soap I use on my face and I would cream my scalp...(it will get dry too...)

Only body wash and preferably only the original green Vitabath.
    shower foam!

    coz of the convenience~

the bar soap is wayy too slippery.. plus some brands dont really lather like it's supposed to..
i have a soap bar, but then i rub it on a loofah and use that :P
I use Body Wash only because I think bar soaps are rough on your skin.
    body wash
    Bar Soap

Do you like bar soap or body wash better?

I use them both. Probably bar soap more though. For body wash I just have w/e smells good and for bar soap I use dove unscented for sensitive skin.Do you like bar soap or body wash better?
i prefer body wash but i do use bar soap too.Do you like bar soap or body wash better?
I use both. I use body wash mostly in Winter. I have oily skin, and live in Los Angeles where temperatures are mild most of the year. Body washes make me break out on my back, and don't really get me clean enough except in Winter, when my skin is a bit drier.

Also, my favourite bar soap (Pr茅 De Prov猫nce), has real crushed herbs in it that exfoliates dead skin, and leaves me smooth.
Body Wash, Avon has some great ones, check it out.

    www.youravon.com/andreswaters
I only use body wash because bar soap is very soapy and after you wash your body with bar soap it gets all squeky and stuff
Bar soap is actually bad for your skin. Its actually drying out your skin. Use body wash.
    Body Washhhhh!
I like body wash cause they have different sweet smells. Bar soap to me doesn't smell so good.
    Body wash is better.-
I prefer body wash.My favorite is pear glace from Victoria's Secret. :)
    body wash
Body Wash- Dove is the best
use body wash, but use soap too, esp dove soap
Oil of Olay body wash, love that stuff
That sounds fine. I use the same thing. :)
I don't use either. I have a special bath oil and it is fab!!!

What type of soap do you wash your face with?

I normally use the Dove beauty bar(original) but just realised I'm all out. I had a four pack but they're all used up. My dad uses coast soap but it doesn't seem like the bes tto use on your face. Would it be good? What type of soap do you wash your face with?
Bar soap contains tallow and is not good for face use; it clogs pores.

Use a liquid cleanser that doesn't sting your eyes. Your face should not feel tight afterwords, if it does it means the cleanser is too drying and actually leads to OILY skin and breakouts due to the top layer being irritated.

I personally like to use generic brand Cetaphil cleanser. Clinique also has a good oil-free foaming wash that is blue and smells wonderful, but it's kind of expensive and Cetaphil is just as good and I don't recommend fragrance in facial cleansers anyways. What type of soap do you wash your face with?

Is It Bad That I've Been Using Dial Antibacterial hand soap To Wash My Face?

Ever since I quit going to my costly dermatologist I've found that the ONLY thing to keep my skin decently clear (not perfect) but decently clear...is Dial Antibacterial hand soap. I've tried EVERYTHING. I've always had mild acne and it has been a relief to not need to go to a Dermatologist lately. I will again sometime...in August!

Is this bad? I haven't seen any bad effects yet.Is It Bad That I've Been Using Dial Antibacterial hand soap To Wash My Face?
I'm going to say what everyone else has stated at first with that it might dry up your skin with mass use but if its working for you then go for it. I dont see any reason not to. Its also recommended for body art like eyebrow peircings it helps prevent infections which thats all zits are is mini-facial infections. Good luckIs It Bad That I've Been Using Dial Antibacterial hand soap To Wash My Face?
As an esthetician, that makes me shudder... however, if it works for you without unpleasant results, why stop doing it?

Keep an eye on your skin... if it starts getting patchy, red, over oily, or overly dry, stop! That's your signal it's too harsh.

I wonder what your dermatologist will have to say when he sees you in August! Hmmmmm. Good luck!
Hahaha. Well, I've never used hand soap to wash my face...so I wouldn't know. But I would recommend Garnier Nutritioniste. It works really good and leaves your face feeling clean and fresh. Or I'd also recommend The Wave if you haven't tried that already. Hope this helps :)
it drys out your skin, so in response your pores will create MORE oil to compensate....
Hand soap can be pretty hard on your face. I have gotten great results fom the clean %26amp; clear face wash, lotion, and spot treatment. You can actually buy it all in one easy kit at Wal-Mart.
i guess it depends on your skin, it could dry it out
If its the only thing that works for you keep on using it.
Well it's obviously working for you then.

I wouldn't dare use it on my face though.
If it is not drying your skin out, great. If it begins to dry your skin out consider using: Clean %26amp; Clear Oil-Free Foaming Facial Cleanser; 8.0 oz.; $4.49 at Walgreen鈥檚.

No. It sounds like it works pretty good! Actually some acne face cleansers have the same active ingredients as Dial Antibacterial hand soap, so yeah its a cheap and easy shortcut.

What is Good Soap to Wash the car with?

I what brand of Car Wash is good to wash the car with

Some Car Soap has wax in it some don't.What is Good Soap to Wash the car with?
About the worst thing you can use is dish washing soap or laundry soap. They will strip the wax and can damage the finish.

Turtle Wax Zip Wax or Turtle Wax Ice car wash

I use Turtle Wax Zip wax. It is actually cheaper to use than dish washing soap. A bottle costs about $5 and washes my car about 50 times. It works better than dish washing soap at cleaning. And leaves a light coat of wax.

I use the Turtle Wax Ice products for waxing and polishing. I am very happy with these. I plan to try their car wash soap once my Zip Wax runs out. What is Good Soap to Wash the car with?
Any car wash soap with or without wax will be just fine. Dish soap such Dawn or anything else is not good for your car paint. It will also remove the wax on your car...............md
ArmorAll has a car wash liquid. I like it.
    dawn dish soap--it cuts grease

Are all body-wash soap free?If not then which body-wash are soap free?

Most body washes are a detergent, not a soap. Bar soaps contain lye and fat which react to cause saponification, a specific chemical reaction which is responsible for soap. Liquid soaps, that is, true soap based products, are just diluted enough to stay liquid instead of hardening up.

They say that soap based products are not only better for you, but the environment as well. But I supposed there are exceptions to that. I only mention it because you might have better results looking for soap based, if you look at alternative brands in health food stores, etc. It will be proudly displayed on the label.

For detergent based products, look for sodium laurel sulfate, sodium lauryth sulfate, etc as one of the main ingredients. For soap based products look for sodium tallowate, and other oils and fats.

For more info about particular products, with no advertising to confuse or distract the question...you can look for the MSDS sheet for the desired product. I'm sure these are available online. This stands for Material Safety Data Sheet and it is info collected about products used in many professional settings. They tell what the products are made of, how to handle them, and what to do in case of a mishap with the product. In addition to industrial cleaners, etc there are MSDS sheets for a LOT of home use products as well, because they find their way into the jobsite. Here is the link:

http://www.msds.com/Are all body-wash soap free?If not then which body-wash are soap free?
Not sure what you consider soap? Are you talking about the ingredients you want to stay away from? Are all body-wash soap free?If not then which body-wash are soap free?
Bath and Body Works makes a soap free - soap and body wash - It is their Breathe Brand.
Body washes and shower gels are pretty much watered down soap.

If you need a product that contains fewer irritants or perfumes, try baby wash. It does a fabulous job and doesn't have the added chemicals, perfumes and dyes that other products have.
The onley soap i know who is soap free is the soap they use in the hospital before the operation!you can find it in a farmecy

  • What exactly is the difference between a beauty bar soap and body wash?

Is one better than the other?

Do you use both or just one or the other?

I'm asking because I've been using St. Ives body wash a while, but the other day I purchased 2 Dove Go Fresh beauty bars..What exactly is the difference between a beauty bar soap and body wash?
Usually beauty bars are designed specifically for women. They are scented for woman's tastes and designed for women skin types. (Women usually have much softer skin then men.)

Body wash however can be used for both sexes.

I know that in certain cases soap tends to contain certain ingredients body wash may not. I prefer using soap over body wash because I feel cleaner having used soap but this is just personal preference. What exactly is the difference between a beauty bar soap and body wash?
Myself being a Man. I prefer using lynx body wash than using a bar of soap Mainly cos It's less effort Bar of soaps are more for Spas and such I'm assuming a beauty bar soap would help heal stress.

Can I use laundry soap to wash my dogs?

I don't have any dawn which I know is safe and I don't have any dish soap period. We just shampooed our carpets and I don't want to let them inside until they have had a bath but I just can't stand it I hate leaving them outside. I mean they have an indoor porch but they need us and I need them at night especially. I am kinda broke at the moment so buying anything is out of the question until we get some cash. Can I use laundry soap to wash my dogs?
    NO!!!

The phosphates in laundry soaps will kill a dog.

If you must use something, use watered down people shampooCan I use laundry soap to wash my dogs?
I would absolutely not use laundry soap to wash your dogs! Can you borrow some dog shampoo from a friend or relative that has a dog? You can afford to shampoo your carpets but not to pay $4.99 for dog shampoo??

I don't mean to be harsh, but if you can't afford to purchase dog shampoo, how are you able to provide a proper home for a dog?? What if they got sick and needed medical attention?

We are all struggling right now but it sounds like you might want to find a new home for your dogs.
Hun- No you can't, you can use human shampoo, it's harmless, just no Head and Shoulders or anything used dandruff, you can use Johnson %26amp; Johnson baby shampoo and body wash on them.

Geez, people calm down, she asked a simple question, it's truly not your business of how she pays for them medically, as long as she doesn't neglect, (we wouldn't know really) then it shouldn't matter. Plus, I ran out of shampoo and it was too cold and I didn't have money on me that day, so I used Johnson %26amp; Johnson, and I'm a wonderful pet owner, my dogs Holiday pictures are always on the bulletin board in the Vet's office. (:

Personally, I don't think not having money for shampoo a certain day, means you're a bad owner.

    Hope I helped sweetie. (:

When is the best time to add laundry soap to the wash?

Does it matter when the soap is added to the wash? I usually turn the water on, put in the soap, and then the clothes.

Someone told me that you should always put the soap on top of the clothes. Does it really make a difference?

Thanks! When is the best time to add laundry soap to the wash?
If you use a top loader, I would put in the soap/bleach, then let it fill with water about half way before adding the clothes. If using a front loader, then put in the clothes, shut door, start machine and add soap when the indicator light is on. If no indicator light, listen for the water in the soap dispenser part of the washer. when the water is running through there, add the soap. I add bleach on the first rinse, fabric softener on the second rinse and white vinegar to the third rinse. When is the best time to add laundry soap to the wash?
Continue doing your wash the way you are doing. I also do it that way. Everyone I know does it the same way.
I start the washer and add the detergent first, after it starts agitating, I add the clothes.
I get great results when I put in the clothes, turn on the washer, and let it agitate for a minute. Then I add the soap. your way sounds pretty good though!
Good question. I have always washed backwards, soap last, before the water fills the bin, slam the door shut and presto!......the machine makes all the mistakes.

After reading all ya'lls answers,,,,,,,I am going to start washing my clothes like yall do.

    Texas Love.
the right way is put the clothes in when the water is full add the soap and mix with your hands till soap is dispenced through clothes than let it run, got this from a friend who repairs
my washer has a special place to put either liquid or powder detergent, I think that it means that it is better to add it later, but before I got it, I always put it in at the begining, who has time to wait? Either way, it gets the clothes clean.
you put the soap in first...your right!
Yes it makes a difference! You're doing it right. Putting the soap on top of the clothes can actually stain the clothes with the soap. Continue your way!
Soap should always be on bottom unless dispensed by machine automatically in the wash. that will stop any garment reaction or staining that may occur while soap is sitting on top of clothes waiting for water to disperse it.
    My system is:

--chemicals go into the water (detergent, bleach, booster, etc.) Mix by letting the machine agitate for a few moments.

--clothes go into the water/chemicals mixture.
The best time to do so is when the water is being filled and before the clothes go in. Then swish the water around a bit to help the particles dissolve completely. That way you won't have undissolved soap particles in your finished laundry only to end up having to re-wash it again.
best way to do it is the way you are
you sjhould do it they way you are doing it now. if you put the soap on top of your clothes it doesnt distribute properly in the water, as it soakes into the clothes and takes longer to come out and get into the water. you should only put it directly on clothes if you have a stain you are working on

The Shikai line of shower gel is awesome! You can get them in Trader Joes grocery stores, and Walgreens. It is a soap free moisturizing cleansing gel, in scents like white gardenia, and works wonders for senstive skin. I have really bad acne on my back, and I think it was caused by harsh cleansing products. As soon as i started using Shikai, the bumps went away and my skin is a lot calmer.
Ivory or caress... I have sensitive skin too and those are the only two I can use.
any Bath %26amp; Body Works soap! but never use body soap for your face, it is too harsh for the face! so try a facial wash!

Use a very mild soap like Dove or Ivory. Other soaps are too strong for that part of your body.

I don't feel like a trip to walmart for some specialty soap - is mild dishwashing liquid or shampoo okay? What around the house soap can I wash the car with?
The main thing to remember about auto paint is that it breathes and when dust settles on the vehicle it chokes the paint and in time results in a faded paint color known as oxidation. The best thing to do is always keep your paint clean even if it is just hosing down the vehicle with water and following up with some toweling. For stubborn dirt it is best to use a car soap that is specially formulated for vehicle paints. Regular soaps are for washing dishes, pots and pans and can be sometimes caustic to delicate paint surfaces. Your car doesn't have stuck on food particles all over it just some dust and road dirt. What around the house soap can I wash the car with?
I use dishwashing soap sometimes, but I'm told it can desolve the wax, so not a good idea.

Never thought about shampoo. I'd feel safe trying baby shampoo.
If you want to take the wax off your car use soap, I never wash my cars with soap, just plain water and a spoonge.
either of these can cause damage to your paint...not right away but they will weaken it. also they will leave behind a residue that will make your car less shiney. it would be better to simply take a bucket of water and a sponge and just wipe it down.

Don't use dish soap cleaner it removes wax and on some cars their clear coat, not bad on bad paint jops but if u have a good looking car then try this.

Having been detailing for four years i have found many products that work well some better than others, i use many different products different parts of the car but i have found that meguiars is the best bran in detailing, there not the super best but their products are less likely to leave stains on cars to people who are not experience in detailing.

there are about four types of car wash cleaner depending on the type of car and finish on you re car i love using this one http://www.meguiars.com.au/productdetail鈥?/a>

i use it because it leave a thin layer of wax on my car after i wash it which helps when i have little time to wash my car or dont have time to wax my car. What's the best car wash soap available?
Do NOT use dishwashing soap like Dawn. It will not only strip any wax off your paint, it will dry out the rubber seals around your doors, windows, etc.

Personally, I use either Zaino Z7 car wash shampoo:

Why don't most people use bar soap and wash cloths anymore?

Do we really need to save time in the shower so we can make time to wait in line at starbucks everyday? Why don't most people use bar soap and wash cloths anymore?
    I still do,I've been an Irish Spring man since,well,before I was a man! Furthermore,Starbucks bites!A home-brewed cup of Ten o Clock,or a cup of 7-11 rocket fuel for me,thanks.

Who wants to wash with a bar of soap that was probably up someones bu*t crack? Shower gel is way better! And lots of people use wash clothes. If nobody did, they wouldn't make them anymore. How many butter churns do you see in stores these days?
i use bar soap and wash cloths...and i dont like starbucks...(ok truthfully i've never tried it, never wanted to.)

    :0) *shrug* ooooh well!
I use it. I also use body wash sometimes. I use dove soap most of the times.

Who told you that people want to save shower time to stand in line at Starbucks?
Body wash is more gentle and easier. You just squeeze and go lol. Soaps such as Dove and Caress are good bar soaps if used.
i use bar soap! i think its quicker than body wash...and cheaper too :)
because we have shower gel and baby wipeys.
Bar soap always leaves a film on my skin no matter how good I rinse. Shower gel don't.
bar soap is harsh on your skin(most of them)

I would use Shampoo before I tried laundry soap

cant you just go to the dollar store and buy a bottle of soap
make tim go get you some dish soap. i mean if youre willing to wash them he should be willing to get you the tools to do it.
Not a good idea. Some of the chemicals that go into laundry soap may not wash off your dishes properly and could be harmful if swallowed or mixed with your food.
laundry soap is great and it cuts the grease in the water so the dishes are not greasy any brand will do
I've used dish soap to do laundry, but I wouldn't use laundry stuff for dishes. Aside from the taste, you don't know if even a small amount of residue on the dishes would do something like cause everyone to have diarrhea or something like that.

If the problem were mine I'd rinse all the food off all the dishes, stack them up somewhere so they weren't in the sink, and wait until I had real dishwashing stuff to wash them right.
Only if you have skidmarks on your tupperware.
yes ucan but after ur done put a lot of lotion on ur hands cuz they will get really dry
My mother used to use laundry soap for dishes when she'd run out of dish soap. Just be sure they are rinsed well and watch because they will be more slippery.
yes but use some bleach to kill germs

and use verry hot water to kill germs
Not unless you want a kitchen full of suds!!!!! I would just go for really hot water. In a dishwasher?? Try a drop of liquid hand soap, or just run it w/out soap. Washing by hand?? use vinegar and lemon and let them soak first. Vinegar and lemon are miracle workers.
... not sure ... id just use some really really hot water and if you got the spray nozzle just do it that way .. no diff. than the public schools do to lunch trays =)

    yes

if it is powder it gets a little slimy
I've used it before when I was out of soap. It made the dishes so slippery that I almost dropped the dishes and it took forever to rinse off. Use something else. Shampoo, Go to the dollar store and buy some cheap dish soap or something.

What is better and more gentle for a face wash, dove soap or cetaphil cleanser?

My face is very dry and flacky everytime I get out of the shower. I take a shower in the morning and evening. I have been using dove soap, but it seems to be really dry on my face. I was wondering if I should go over too a facial cleanser and stay away from soap. Maybe, such as a cetaphil cleanser or maybe even a neutrogena cleanser. What do you think? What is better and more gentle for a face wash, dove soap or cetaphil cleanser?
Dove soap is 1/4 moisturizing cream, which might be too much to use daily. When moisture builds up a lot, too much of it comes off when you finally wash your face again. It's a bad cycle. Cetaphil is made mainly for sensitive skin so it is perfectly gentle and great for everyday use. What is better and more gentle for a face wash, dove soap or cetaphil cleanser?
i've used a TON of different products to try and help my skin. neutrogena, oil of olay, dove, mary kay. i found that you have to know what your skin type is and exactly how these work to make the best choice. I do some writing for Prevention.com, put out by Prevention Magazine, and they just released a new online tool to help identify skin problems... once you answer their questions, it tells you exactly what in-store products and brands are a good match for your skin.

Probably the simplest answer is don't use soap.

Most soaps are chemical based and many of them still use carbolics substance and sometimes caustic soda.

Lush make handmade soaps and cleansers which are cruelty free and in a lot of cases organic. These won't dry out your skin.

ChrisWhat is the best facial wash or soap to use?
yes always use face washes for sensitive skin but you need to always moisturise your face after washing it.

that could be whats coursing the problem.

everyone needs to moisturise their skin every day cos it helps keep it looking young and in a healthy condition.

so if you dont already use it then start asap, get a fragrance free one. it will stop the tightness and dry skin.

get a body lotion for your body aswell!!

I love using Johnson's soft wash baby wash,it makes my skin so soft and feels so fresh after each shower,I also use Johnson nourishing milk wash if the store is out of the soft wash they are both very good soaps, not too much perfume like most soaps have that dry out your skin.
There are some facial cleansers on the website below made just for combination skin.
I also have sensitive skin and you should not use soaps because they dry out your skin. Use a facial wash that is 100% colour and perfume free, these are the ones suitable for sensitive skin. I suggest simple facial washes. Simple is the brands name available in Boots stores.
i love burts bees lettuce bar for dry skin.

My fav is Oil of Olay face products. I use their face wash, their daily facials (at night) and their moisturizer! I love it!
By far the loreal face range..i use loreal face wash..i admit it's alittle bit costly but i'm worth it...
    dove cream works really well
I have very dry skin and use Nivea one a day I night to remove make up. Don't use soap on your face. I just use water in the morning. I use Eucerin lotion to moisturize and it's very good because it's hypoallergenic. Eucerin and Dove soaps are good also.
I use a cleanser cream from Murad. It doesn't lather like a soap so it's not as drying.
So do I, and hypersensitive, so I use supermarket own brand baby bath.
IMO, Purity Made Simple by Philosophy. It is the best cleanser on the market. Bar none. It gets my combination skin clean without drying or stripping it. It removes all my makeup, including eyeliner and mascara beautifully and never stings or burns my very sensitive eyes. It is a little pricey, but it is worth every penny.
I use jonhsons Clean%26amp;Clear exfoliating daily wash it does the job and you can get it from most chemists/supermarkets, it's priced around 拢3 and should last you ages as you only need to use a small amount ;-)
Oil of olay face wash is quite gentle, but really, any of the gentle face washes with added moisturisers should be suitable. Just remember to rinse very thoroughly.
i never wash my face with soap all ways leaves it tight and skin dry i just wash with water then use a cleansing milk works a treat for me
The best facial products to use are Mary Kay. The original Mary Kay products were designed by a tanner. He figured that if he could take an old piece of rawhide into soft leather, we should be able to use something similar on our skin to keep it soft and supple. My mother saw Mary Kay once when she was in her 70's. Mother said she looked at a 35-40 year old woman. I know you might think ';plastic surgery.'; I cannot rule that out. I can say, though, that my family has used Mary Kay for years. My aunts, who are in their 70's, look about 40. I am no raving beauty, but I have not aged like some of the folks I went to school with.

It is important to begin using the products early, though. If you wait until there is already damage, Mary Kay (or any other beauty product) cannot correct it. I started using these products when I was 13.
i have very sensative skin and i used ';roc face wash'; from boots and its really good, u can see the difference immediately and it doesnt react to the sensative skin...at least with me - and it costs around 拢14.00 if u are in the UK :)
    definately proactive

even if u dont have acne or anything it keeps ur face so healthy

I dont use it to much but my sister does and I swear it does miracles! lol
have u tryed a soft facial scrub soap is not that good for your skin
None, your skin shouldn't be washed with soaps or washes because these strip your skin of it's natural oils, that help keep skin healthy and protected.

I'd suggest you look into using Oil Cleansing Method; I currently use jojoba oil and my skin is spot-free, non-oily, soft and healthy as a result, I'd never go back to using facial washes.

What kind of facial wash or soap etc do you reccomend for a 13 yr old who wants clear skin?

i want clear skin, pimple free but I'm not successful, is there any way I could prevent acne or pimples when i get older? I have oily skin. What kind of facial wash or soap etc do you reccomend for a 13 yr old who wants clear skin?
    neutrogena acme bar soap.

wash ur face 2 -3 times a day using this soap only. it works!

i was once 13 too - with really bad pimples, this was a lifesaver. follow up with a neutrogena alcohol-free toner and/or a oil free moisturizer. the wave works pretty good too, but be careful if u have sensitive skin. stay away from proactive - its only as good as long u keep using their products, ur skin gets worse the second u stop using them. thanks to neutrogena i have clear skin even if i use other products now. try not to use any oil-based product. eat lots of fruits n drinks lots of water. n use a good (non-greasy) sunblock while out in the sun. :)What kind of facial wash or soap etc do you reccomend for a 13 yr old who wants clear skin?
Always make sure to wash your face daily more than one to remove excess oils that causes pimples,

you can use Neutrogena or Clean and clear.

and make sure to apply facial masks on your face at least twice a week( you can start by simple stuff in the kitchen like yogurt and lemon and olive oil)

I am over puberty with a clear skin, only sometime i get small pimples before or after my period.

Oh and you can put some tooth ';paste'; not jel on small zits, that will help

    GoodLuck
use cliniques 3 step program. i'm the same age [almost 14 though] and i use mild face cleanser the number to formula [the purple one] and then the dramatically different moisterizing lotion. works super good at making your face clear and keepinig it clear. they also have different selections for dry skin, normal skin, ect
i'm like you. i have oily skin and have acne. my face isn't completely clear, but at least right now my pimples aren't too red right now..... i just started using Neutrogena's Acne Stress Control foam wash, using it twice a day. it gets rid of the oil, and is pretty easy to use. i also like the foamy texture. but theres also a cream if you prefer. whether i helped you or not, i hope you have a pimple-free life! %26lt;3 %26lt;3 %26lt;3
Skin care from Avon under the Mark line. Neutrogena is another example. These are not too harsh on younger skin. They are also inexpensive so cost in experimenting which product works best is not too bad.
there is no way to prevent pimples besides keeping your face clean and free of dead skin and oils. i happens when you get old.

    i like netrogena

    clean and clear

i hate proactive its doesnt work

    Neutrogena glycerine bar soap.
you should try the wave from neutrogena, it's really gentle so it doesn't hurt your skin but it works :) i love it!
    proactive

  • What is the difference between body wash and soap?

Is one better than the other does one have attribues the other doesn't?What is the difference between body wash and soap?
All the above answers are uninformed.

Body wash is a detergent. Anion surfactants.

It leaves no soap film in the shower. Like shampoo.

Soap is just that, made from fats and lye.

Both contain scent or perfumes. What is the difference between body wash and soap?
Body Wash is liquid version of the same type of soap say like Zest or Ivory. They are both fine. Some people prefer the Body wash or bar for different reasons. I like to take my Body Wash on a vacation neater to pack.
Body wash comes in tubes and bottles. It is scented and has moisturizers and whatnot. You can get body wash by companies like Old Spice whereas soap just comes in a bar.
    cost same thing
    what is the difference?????,.....the price,.....
I think body wash has more scents and comes in different sizes. Seems like body wash is catered more toward women, as soap is used for hand washing and geared more toward box sexes.

Pretty much the same thing (give or take scents and moisturizer)

Does anyone know of a car wash soap with a 0 pH balance?

Looking for something environmentally friendly that I can use at a high volume hand wash car wash with no drainage. Any ideas?Does anyone know of a car wash soap with a 0 pH balance?
Shaklee's Basic H is perfectly balanced. It would not only clean your car. It will actually help the ground it falls on after washing the car. Supposedly, they've used it on the space shuttle.Does anyone know of a car wash soap with a 0 pH balance?
well, 0 would be extreamly basic and can still cause harm to the skin (like pouring borax directly on yourself). if you want nutural, i think you want somewhere around 7. but i dont know where you would find that information
Your best answer is: Protect All Quick %26amp; Easy Wash

only need 1/2 a gallon of water, no rinsing needed. It's a true wash, I use it regularly. You might be able to find it at an RV store but definitely online.

    http://www.protectall.com/qelg.htm

    Google it.
';Johsons baby shampoo';. No water spots. PH balanced. Even though I use baby shampoo on my car, and it doesn't strip the wax, I think I'm going to try that Shaklee product. According to their site it's bio-degradable and good for the environment. Thanks for the info E Y and good question Cleveland.

I don't have car washing soap and need to wash my car. Can I use dish soap?

Dish soap will clean your car nicely, BUT you will need to wax it afterward. The more aggresive grease cutting types will remove some/all of your protective wax.

If you have a new car that the clearcoat is still intact, not such a big deal.

It's best to use products designed for this that clean without stripping the protective coatings.

(I use Dawn dish soap before waxing. Excellent results.)I don't have car washing soap and need to wash my car. Can I use dish soap?
Yes, Be sure to rinse good.I don't have car washing soap and need to wash my car. Can I use dish soap?
absolutely!!! I've used dish soap all my life. It works like a charm and is almost free. not like those expensive car soaps.
yes but rinse well and a grease cutter like Dawn will remove a little of your wax so regular car washing detergent is best.
I use it when I have to wash the car, and it works fine, just make sure to rinse it well, and you should be fine.
You mean the stuff that cuts grease, oil and wax. Doesn't sound like a great idea, does it.
    I use it everytime.
    I always do.

of course my car isnt brand new and does not have the floor room shine. It will wax up nicely tho....do not wax in the sunshine!!
I am in the car detail cleaning business and here is our secret!

We do not use dish soap, it acts as a wax stripper.

We buy this cleaning cloth off the internet. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!

I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out鈥?hope this helps鈥teve
I use dish soap all the time to wash my car just don't use alot
yes now a days car have a clear sealer on the paint so go ahead use the dish soap but go easy on it as it is concentrated then car soaps. Rinse well.

Difference between using shaving cream and body wash/soap to shave?

When i shave my legs, i'll sometimes use shaving cream, soap, or body wash.

i want to know the difference between the 3, because if there isn't one, i might as well save money and just use body wash or soap.Difference between using shaving cream and body wash/soap to shave?
I personally use body wash or soap, because it just saves a whole lot of money versus buying more shaving cream every two weeks, for like 3 or 4 bucks. I don't think it makes a difference at all, you get the same results, and you save money.

You still get the same soft feeling on your legs.Difference between using shaving cream and body wash/soap to shave?
shaving cream is thicker. it helps keep you from cutting yourself with the razor.

conditioner helps with that too, but soap does no good at keeping you from cutting yourself.
there's no difference. shaving cream is used to moisturize your skin so you don't cut yourself while shaving. i use body wash as shaving cream because soap sucks.
conditioner works really well too. try it its great. hope this helped and God Bless.

hahaha i just saw the answer above me. yeah so i also say conditioner :D
shaving cream makes a better lather. hair conditioner works well too. try that out and see if you like it

Is there a natural brand of body wash, soap that cleanses, moisturizes, and cure skin impurities?

One without sulfates, or bad preservatives. And one that would fix skin impurities, like skin discolorations. Is there a natural brand of body wash, soap that cleanses, moisturizes, and cure skin impurities?
    Virtually all commercial products contain harmful chemicals and preservatives and are invariably expensive. The best modest cost natural moisturizer that also works wonders on discolorations and many other skin conditions is olive oil. It is excellent for oily skins and acne prone skins. See for yourself with web search ';Olive oil as a moisturizer and cure for skin ailments.'; It quickly absorbs into skin and does not leave it oily. You can remove any excess by splashing with water and drying with an old towel. You can clean skin with modest price soaps/cleaners that contain no adulterations or colorants or harsh chemicals that you can buy at health food stores, Walmart, and some drugstores. Find with web search 篓';non harming soaps, cleaners sold in stores?';

I had countless skin conditions, discolorations and freckles -severe dry skin, spots and scars, even warts, on face and body and all where treated solely with natural oils and I particularly liked olive oil. I massaged very vigorously over and over every day and some were permanently got rid of in a matter of weeks, some took a little longer. When massaged into facial skin it gives it a healthy glow and tightens and rejuvenates skin. See my Best Answers(skin conditions, olive oil)Is there a natural brand of body wash, soap that cleanses, moisturizes, and cure skin impurities?
The most common otc products ive seen used by a dermatologist is dove and cetaphil they seem to work pretty well
i would try proactive because they have the only prescription grade benzol proxided and camaile products that are made to treat your skin like your at a spa. they offer a aray of products incuding body washes that will help put mositure back into your skin and revitalize it at the same time.
Try Dove, Ivory, Biori or Oil of Olay
Bior cleansing, although its only for the face and neck.

  • Can I use a bar of soap to wash my hair?

    Out of shampoo.

Won't get my check until later, and I need to wash it A.S.A.P.

Will this be okay since its a one time thing? Can I use a bar of soap to wash my hair?
It would probably be better to just wait, or possibly borrow some. Although I'm sure doing this one time won't cause your hair to fall out, it will make it very dry and possibly leave a residue. I don't think its a good idea as a woman of color, our hair obviously requires more consideration with regard to dos and don'ts. Don't let anybody on here who knows nothing about ethnic hair care on this site steer you wrong...Can I use a bar of soap to wash my hair?
you can but its not the best idea it will dry out ur hair and take away the moisture but you should be okay until u get ur check just do a deep conditoning mask once u get ur check. even if you dont buy a conditioning hair mask just let some conditioner sit on ur hair for at least 10 mins before that if possible do a hot oil treatment
I don't know which bar of soap u r talking about. Soap is not useful. Instead of soap u should use Herbal Powder for ur hair mixture of Shikakai, Ritha, Citrus Peel (Herbal Powders). Instructions r written on the pack for preparation of liquid to wash ur hair.
No problem at all, most shampoos have the same ingredients anyway.

You can use it all the time, shampoos are just fancy soaps sold to make you feel good, they don't really work any differently to ordinary soap.
Yes, you can. In the good old says people used a dilute vinegar rinse after washing the soap out to get rid of any excess residue.
    It's fine:D

Although if you do it everytime you wash your hair, I will guarantee your hair will feel all dried out and icky.
well i guess you can use it since it is a one time thing but make sure it smells really good or better yet use body wash that will be better.
yeah but dont do it too often. usually bar soap has a lot harsher chemicals in it which can be damaging. if its Dove or something then i wouldnt worry really either.
it can be done but is not advisable because although you will have clean hair it will not feel nice and be very hard to brush and style.
just use conditioner or borrow shampoo from neighbor but seriously it will make your hair nasty girl.
If you really need to wash it, Just the once should be fine, But maybe just wash it with water.
If you are in India then the VATIKA shampoo is just of Re.1 and gives hair a smooth texture
I mean it will work, but I wouldn't recommend it. I guess its better than dirty hair.
Yes but you will be a heathen.
yes your hair will be fine, not recommended to do this over a long period of time, but you'll be fine.
    i've done it

my hair didnt fall out or anything, was just hard to comb out.
yeah but it might leave residue
just a little bit in your hand first and then conditioner
it'll be ok. i've done it before.
    yes.
yes u can use it ,,,but u have to contemplation that ur hair maybe give out a strange smell

Whats a good soap to wash your face with?

I am currently using ivory soap and it always seems to be leaving my skin feeling dry. i know that there are a lot of soaps out there but im actually looking for a specific one- that cleans your face, leaves it feeling fresh, wont make your face feel dry, helps better the appearance of your skin. tnx.Whats a good soap to wash your face with?
Dove! Dermatologist recommended.Whats a good soap to wash your face with?
use a facial cleanser like neutrogena, biore, noxema, clean and clear....theres so many too choose from.

Stop using body bars they aren't made for the face.

check out your drugstore/pharmacy you'll find them there.
it depends on ur skin type...if you hv dry skin, try to look for a product that says ';hydration';...fresh, you can try the body shop ';tea tree oil cleanser';...it leaves you a very very fresh feeling. i personally use neutrogena oil-free cleanser and it works BEST for me because i have combination (dry n oily) skin type n i tried many products n just don't work for me.
Origins makes the best face washes. They have three different washes I believe and one will fit you skin type!

    www.origins.com

You want something cheaper try Cetaphil at Wal-Mart
I would suggest not using soap at all on your face. You should use a good cleanser instead.
    lever 2000
I really like clean and clear. Im 24 so I dont use the acne fash wash anymore, but I know they do make one. I believe its called continuous control or something like that. It fights and prevents blemishes. Dont wash your face with regular soap. Its too harsh.

Also, get a great moisturizer and use it. I also use clean and clear moisturizer. My face never feels dry when I get out of the shower from washing my face, but its overall good for your face to use a moisturizer.
Any soap that has glycerin in it.

I would suggest that you use mousturizer after you wash your face, if it's feeling dry.

You could try a wash by La Roche-Posay Effaclar.
According to my dermatologist...use Neutrogena or Dove.
I'm currently using Biore, and it's the BEST cleanser I've ever washed my face with. Back then, all my cleansers either left me with a filmy feeling on my face, or it dried out my skin really bad. Biore doesn't have any harsh drying-out agents in it, and it leaves your skin feeling very clean. Look for Biore Shine Control Cream Cleanser at your local pharmacy. This is how it looks like: http://f3c.yahoofs.com/shopping/mcid6_11鈥?/a>
Never, never, NEVER use ';just plain soap'; on your face! You'll strip out all the natural oils in your skin. Use a cleanser that's formulated for your skin type. I just recently switched to Luxiva (Merle Norman) for normal to dry skin. I used to have oily skin, but that changed with age.

You'll also want to avoid anything abrasive to your face.

Neutrogena, Cetaphil and Phisoderm are good over-the-counter skin cleansers. Make sure you get the ones for ';normal'; skin. Some of the ';oily'; skin cleansers will also strip out too much oil. Don't forget the toner and moisturizer!

Is it okay to use bar soap to wash hair?

When I take a shower, I just rub the Irish Spring bar soap on my hair to clean it. Is this safe/okay?Is it okay to use bar soap to wash hair?
oh my goodness, my friend tricked me into doing this when i was little!

i asked him how he got his hair so smooth and shiny,

and he told me he just used a bar of soap.

so for a whole week i used soap to wash my hair, to try and make it as shiny as his, and it never worked.

it was years later before i found out he'd tricked me (he was only five at the time, i didn't know his mind could be so sinister!)

but, to answer your question, yes, you CAN use soap to wash your hair, and it's perfectly safe. BUT it won't look anywhere near as healthy as it will if you just use shampoo.

;D but good luck anywayIs it okay to use bar soap to wash hair?
it is ok when soap is new

bt a 3 or 4 time used soap will damage ur hair (in case of normal or a little silky hair)

in case of dry hair dont use it

bt if ur hair are oily then sure do 4 it soap is not good bt it is too good

1 of my frnd uses washing surf to wash hair she has oily hair nd surf gives shine to her hair
i dont see why not but i dont think its the best choice.

It will not clean your hair as goood and i bet it will make it feel really dry.
it is perfectly safe, it is just regular soap but really it doesn't clean your hair as well as soap that is ment for your hair...
IT TANGLES MY HAIR WHEN I USE BAR SOAP SO I DONT USE THAT ANYMORE BUT IT MIGHT WORK FOR YOUR HAIR.
It will make your hair all dry so use shampoo, soap will clean it but not really well.
    NO.

Do bald people use shampoo or soap to wash their head?

I know this is stupid, but I've always wondered. I would guess soap...but wouldn't it get a flaky %26amp; gross?Do bald people use shampoo or soap to wash their head?
YES... my boyfriend is bald over majority over is head, but mainly shaves... There are natural oils that come from your head, and bald or not, you still have to shampoo your head.. or at least wash it...Do bald people use shampoo or soap to wash their head?
LOL!! Always thought soap was all they needed! Good one! Report Abuse

hahahaha! This is a very funny question.

I shaved my head about a month ago for a breast cancer benefit. For the first 2 weeks I was still extremely bald and what I did was, when I was washing my face at night with my Neutrogena Extra Gentle Face Wash, I would wash my cheeks, then my forehead, then I'd just keep going up and wash my head with it. It was gentle enough for my super-sensitive scalp skin (I was born with hair, so it hasn't seen the sun or been touched directly for 19 years!) but got it clean after a day of exercising and whatnot.

Now I have about a 4th of an inch of hair and it gets greasy enough (constantly having people rub your head makes it greasy really fast) to merit being shampooed. At first I used a dandruff shampoo as my scalp flaked because I had dandruff before I shaved, but it seems like all the fresh air and sun my head's gotten has cured the dandruff, so I use a gentle Dove shampoo/conditioner 2 in 1 for my hair now.

They also make a series of head washes and SPF creams especially for bald guys. You can buy them in the guy's section of your local drugstore. However, I wasn't going to be bald for long enough (letting it grow in) to merit buying them.
My husband is bald, cause he shaves his head and he uses Head%26amp;Shoulders so it doesn't get dry and flaky. However when he was in Iraq he used just bar soap for everything cause it was to hard to transport liquid from base to base.
When I was bald [ chemo in 04 to 05 ], I used to wash my scalp with face wash, and occasionally with shampoo.

You also need to moisturize it like your face, at least in the winter!

Yes, I have seen quite a few guys with flaky scalps!
Hahaha, I asked my mom this question the other day! Haha (and no she is NOT bald). Haha, I just thought that was funny. But she said that they would probably just use a body wash or something that is good for your skin!
I asked this question a while ago to a bald guy and he gave me the low-down. They use a small amount of shampoo to get all of the grease off and then use a huge globe of conditioner to moisturize!
Why would you bother with shampoo since you have no hair. Skin is the same all over your body and soap does the job . I know what i am talking about i have been bald by choice for years.
I have a bald spot and i use shampoo after i shave the rest off, so shampoo is the best answer. A bald head that smells good makes my baby rub my head and kiss it cause she love me..(^_^)
my uncle is bald and he uses regular shampoo and conditioner. i was wondering also so i asked and he told me. but i still wonder about other people
    It depends on the person.

Soap is probably the most common, followed by a type of body wash. Few people use shampoo, although it isn't too uncommon.
Trust me I know a lot of bald people and they either use body wash or sometimes they can buy a wash that will polish it because they want it squeaky clean
    i think soap

    help me please!

When I read your question it made me laugh in a good way because I have wondered this too. I guess I will read the answers on here to find out.
i would say a body wash type thing because my face is very dry, and i would assume that my head would be too. so something more moisturizing than soap would be good
im 100% possitive that you can use anything you want but, if your bald u still have tiny hair so they use anything that cleans em up.
Bald is .. bald? I don't think that you would still get flaky [besides sunburns] when you are bald. Possibly use soap to wash because shampoo is mainly for hair right?
    Shampoo.
haha good question i hav always wondered 2

    i think they use shampoo
My dad uses the stuff that is a bodywash/shampoo. It works for him!
there used to be a three in one shampoo (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash) maybe they use that.
My guess would be a moisturizing shampoo or body wash.
    shampoo!!
Both.they wash it just like they had hair because they want it to be shiny!!
im in the military/aka ive been bald more than once,

    and its soap,

    just soap.
    hahahahahahahahaha that's so random
    I would guess shampoo.
    LOL

    my dad uses soap
    Soap
haha I dont think the shampoo their skin, so im thinkin body wash
well i know someone who is bald and they use bodywash
    my dad uses body wash.

Is it okay if i use dish wash soap to clean my car?

Is it okay if i use dish wash soap to clean my car?

Another question: what would be a good soap of dish wash soap wont work?

It needs to be a common household soap. I dont wanna go out and buy anythingIs it okay if i use dish wash soap to clean my car?
well i don't recommend any dish washing liquid.. but if your looking for clean anything with lemon..but to protect your paint/clear coat i would use Professional but if you have to use a dish washing liquid make sure its in the shade and use light abrasives lots of sudsIs it okay if i use dish wash soap to clean my car?
Yes, I've washed cars with it in a bucket of water. No harm has ever been done.

If you can use it to clean something you eat off with, you can use it for something you drive. No worries ;)
Dish soap will remove the dirt %26amp; the wax. Why not just buy the correct product for the job. Unless you plan on waxing after every wash...there goes the few pennies saved using dish soap.
Soap is soap right so go for it

    hmmm

i would use the soap which u have the most of.
Dish wash soap is fine. Its mild and wont damage the paint. I
like dawn? yeah, its mild enough it wont hurt your paint.

Is it safe to use a shared bar of soap to wash off semen?

got semen on my hand, then i washed it with water briefly. Then i used a bar of soap to clean it off. The bar of soap is shared, and if the next user is a women, can she get any live sperm from the soap, and does it have any risk of pregnancy. Is it safe to use a shared bar of soap to wash off semen?
hope this is a joke. no of course not. virgin pregnancies don't exist. that's what the function of soap is, to clean. wow how sadIs it safe to use a shared bar of soap to wash off semen?
Please recheck your knowledge of human biology. Fertilization happens inside the fallopian tubes, after semen is deposited in the vagina during sex between a man and a woman. Semen on the hand cannot cause pregnancy, and any sperm cells in contact with soap are dead in an instant.
That is creepy the fact that you actually know who will be using the soap next yet still continue to wash your juices off with it! You make sick and if you lived with me you would have your own bar of soap and it would be kept well away from mine!!!!
Spermatozoa need a warm moist environment to live and they can only live outside a vagina for a very short time, like a few minutes (?).

A bar of soap would surely murder any sperm.
who exactly are u sharing it with? your sister, wife, girlfriend or what? anyway, i'd just throw it away. a bar of soap isn't too expensive and it would ease your mind.
Kids, when a man loves a woman, they make a baby by having the man **** on the woman's hand.
I would think any little varmints would go down the drain when you rinse off the bar of soap.
HaHa. No problem. Just don't tell anybody what you used it for.
    No! Get your own soap!!!!!!
    zero % chance of preggars.

  • Is using soap to wash your face bad for your skin?

I use it to get rid of my acne and it works pretty good. I dont know if its bad for your skin or not. If it is, what is best for preventing acne?Is using soap to wash your face bad for your skin?
Using normal soap is advised against because it dries your skin out a lot. For those of us who have very oily skin, normal soap can be very effective in cutting the oil and preventing acne. As long as your're not drying out your face to a apoint where it's peeling and such, it should be fine. I wash my face with both normal soap and St. Ives and my skin hasn't had any problems. Is using soap to wash your face bad for your skin?
If the soap you are using is working then go ahead.

My husband uses a wonderful mud soap and it took the blackheads right out of his nose without drying out his skin.

I use expensive skin care products and my skin doesn't look half as good as his does.
it might work but after using it it could possibly dry out ur skin very bad i suggest using clean and clear or neutrogena it works rllyyyy good=]
yeah most soap are. Soaps have a lot of sodium in them which can dry your skin out. Look on the sop before you but it. But the best thing is to use a face wash to wash your face. If you are not certain ask a dermatologist or a cosmetologist they might be able to help you.
nope, but if you are concerned, look at the soap you buy, some are proven to soften your skin etc.
If soap is working for you, go for it. It's not 'bad' for your skin, unless it's causing irritation. I personally can't use soap, because it makes my skin red and irritated, but that's just me. Whatever works for you!
Yes soap is too much for the skin on the tender face.it make skin feel dry to crack...Suggest u see a skin doctor at national skin centre...
It is usually advised not to use soap on the face as it will dry the skin out instead u should get a good face was and scrub and all the rest.
No but only use it for the face because if you use it for both your face might get infected. But soap is really awesome for your face takes the acne off espicially if it has sulfur in it!
I don't know. Personally I use shampoo to wash my face. My opinion is what does it matter as long as your face is clean.
soap dries out your skin, which is probably why it helps with your acne. I would really recommend getting a facial cleanser, toner, and lotion. I use proactive, and it is EXCELLENT. i have the cleanser, the revitalizing toner, daily oil control lotion, and the repairing lotion. when you use them all twice daily it will really help!

but if you're not wanting to spend that much money, try a cleanser/toner/lotion with sufur, or benzoil peroxide, which helps existing breakouts and keeps new ones from forming!

also, use a mask about once or twice a week, and that will really get down deep into your pores. Oh, and speaking of pores, right before you wash your face or use a mask, run some HOT water over a washcloth, wring it out, and lay it over your face for about twenty seconds. this will open up your pores so that the cleanser can really get deep into your skin and clean out every impurity or speck of dirt. then wash your face or apply your mask as you normally would. Then when you are done, Do the same thing, only use cold water. This will help close the pores so that nothing else will get in.

    Good luck!
yes definitly use the face products from neautrugena they have products for all skin types

What is the best car soap to wash a black paint with?

So i have a black Chevy truck...the paint is in excellent condition but I don't want to keep getting it waxed because its expensive so just wondering if their is a good car soap especially for black paint that will leave the paint looking like it just got waxed...?What is the best car soap to wash a black paint with?
A good soap is important but also the dilution ratio as well. This is a commonly overlooked factor. Even the most gently soap when used too much will strip your wax. Pay attention to the dilution instructions on the manufacturers label.

I like either Duragloss 901 or Meguiar's Gold Class soap. What is the best car soap to wash a black paint with?
Soap isn't a wax, so it's not going to make your paint look like it was just waxed. The main purpose of soap is to lubricate the surface so when you wash the car with the mitt, you are removing the dirt without scratching the paint.

However, properly maintaining your paint between waxing will keep it in better condition, and make the full detail process quicker and easier. Great paint is more than just a wash and wax-there is a five step process to a full detail that keeps paint looking showroom new. There's a how to here: http://www.squidoo.com/showcardetailing that details that process. Doing that about 2-3 times a year, washing regularly and waxing about every month will keep your paint looking beautiful.
Just like there are shampoos with conditioner there are vehicle soaps with a conditioner in it. I especially like Mothers or Eagle 1, but there are many other our there
Maguires, hands down, It will make it shine like it's never shined before. I use it, and it is awesome.

What would happen if I used dish soap to wash my hair?

I Ran outta shampoo and My parents are away for the weekend. Im only 15 and I cant drive to the supermarket. I have a date tomorrow night and the last time I showered was yesterday. I dont wanna have a smelly head tomorrow night! What would happen if I used dish soap to wash my hair?
I really wouldn't recomend using dish soap to wash your hair. Dish soap is really concentrated and it's made for washing your dishes, not your hair. It's really bad for your hair. Do you have any friends that live nearby? Maybe you can just borrow their shampoo...What would happen if I used dish soap to wash my hair?
dont use dish shampoo! it'll ruin your hair. ask your friends if you can borrow some and if not that just use a body wash or body soap.
it would make your hair clean.

Is it ok to use dish soap to wash clothes in a sink or machine ?

The best section here is to do with things like this.

I want to avoid buying a separate soap for laundry and dishes. Is it ok to use dish soap to wash clothes in a sink or machine ?
It could be done, but probably not recommended. Laundry soap is designed to clean clothes, some have enzymes specifically to do this. Dish soap can be used, but better results could be had with regular laundry soap. To save money, buy a store or generic brand...they are just about as good as the name brands at significant savings....do not use soap powder with cold water, it will not dissolve and will clog up the machine over a length of timeIs it ok to use dish soap to wash clothes in a sink or machine ?
Definitely not in the washing machine. Laundry detergent is specifically formulated to be low foam so the agitation doesn't create so much foam that it overflows...TRUST ME, I've tested this one first hand...I put dish soap in my dishwasher in the first apartment I had that had one and it was like an episode of Lucy afterward.

If anything, I would suggest using an environmentally safe laundry detergent if you wanted to buy only one thing to do both. Method makes a good one and so does 7th Generation. One or the other or both are available in supermarkets and I'm pretty sure I saw Method at Home Depot and Target.

The environmentally safe stuff won't be as hard on your hands as regular laundry detergent and won't contain chemicals that might get left behind on your dishes by conventional detergents.
Definitely not for an automatic washing machine, you'll have soap suds everywhere. I wouldn't really recommend dishwashing liquid to wash your clothes in at all.
No...I don't think you can..as washing plates..and washing clothes are 2 very different things....just think about it..
its okay to use dawn dish liquid soap because as soon as you put it on the stain automatically comes out. i wouldnt wash all my clothes with it but only the ones with tough stains
Its soap, itll work! Just dont put to much of it in the washer, because it makes alot of suds!
No, STOP, don't do it...you'll have suds all over the place!
