Something natural. I use Seventh Generation or Planet brand. Here's a chart that compares detergent types. Notice that some of the ones that are ';free and clear'; still contain optical brighteners, which bind to your skin permanently and are thought to be unsafe.

Don't use Dreft or Baby All, both have a ton of perfume in them.
Super. Are you using synthetic yarns? They are very soft and wash well and can even go in the dryer. This is a very sweet thing you're doing, especially since it;s hard to get clothes for preemies.
thats very nice of you...they have a special brands for baby clothes that do not irritate their skin,....you can buy it at any local grocery store...i use baby soft
